Community Rules and Guidelines

Please abide by the following very reasonable rules if you intend to post in the forums:

1 - Be polite and respect other members
Being polite and considerate to other members is a must. Any posted content (in any language) which constitutes defamation, harassment, or abuse will not be tolerated. This also includes starting or continuing flame wars, personal attacks, threats, flamebaiting and engaging in trolling activity.

If someone has posted something that has in someway upset or offended you, please report the post to our moderators (just click on the link). Remember, if someone insulted you are not absolved for insulting back or breaking these rules.

2 - Follow the guidelines for posting of topics
When starting a new thread, make sure that there isn't a relevant thread about that topic already. Always do a search before posting your thread, this is often the quickest way to find the information you need.

Post your threads in the appropriate forum and don't start the same thread in multiple forums. Please use thread titles which reflect the content of the message you're posting. Don’t write in capitals (like THIS), it’s simply rude.

3 - Moderation and moderators
The administrators and moderators carry out the rules that govern this forum to preserve the orderly functionality of this service for the wide audience. It’s entirely up to their discretion what actions are needed to guarantee this, including deleting or editing posts and account suspension or ban, without any previous notice.

Determination of what constitutes a breach of the rules and guidelines of the Vivapets forums rests solely with the administrators.

Making malicious comments about this service or its administrators or moderators on this forum is not allowed. This also applies to public criticism of a moderator's actions and public requesting for other members to be banned.

No moderator will reply publicly to any complaint about moderation. When in doubt use the appropriate channel to contact us (either the moderator or the contact form) after which a decision will be made and appropriate action will be undertaken by the staff.

4 - No offensive or illegal content
Content that is illegal (such as posting copyrighted materials), sexually or otherwise obscene, racist, or otherwise overly discriminatory is not permitted on these forums.

5 - No Spam, Advertising or selling
Advertising of any commercial website, product or service on these forums is not permitted. This includes (but no limited to) posting of classified ads. Chain letters and pyramid schemes are similarly prohibited.

6 - Miscellaneous stuff
• Multiple registrations by the same person (“cloning”) are prohibited, if you have any problem with your account, contact us.
• Private Messages are subject to the same rules as posting.
• You can always make suggestions or contact us when in doubt but you cannot demand or publicly challenge the way this forum is run.
• The rules are subject to change at any time, without previous notice so check back from time to time to read and recall them.

Consequences for violation of forum rules include:
• editing or deletion of the offending post
• account suspension
• permanent ban
