If you give the dog table scraps just one time, you have a beggar for life. This may seem cute amongst family, but if you receive guests, the begging dog can become a problem. Table scraps or treats can also compromise a dog’s normal diet, so you shouldn’t indulge your dog with to many of them (and if you do only low in fat, sugar and salt foods are ok). If you want to treat your dog once in a while with food you can cook healthy treats especially for him.
